This early project represented our first foray into the mass private sector housing market and proved to be a great success. The 300 unit development on the north bank of the River Colne is sited between the Wivenhoe Conservation Area and a protected Site of Special Scientific interest.

Our sensitive interpretation of the local vernacular was strongly supported by Colchester Borough Council planners and proved extremely popular with house buyers – so much so that the scheme belatedly won a Commendation at the National Homebuilders’ Awards in 2004.
