Project Details
The new state-of-the-art AXA Training Centre for Liverpool FC is located north of the club’s existing Academy, forming a clear aspirational route from scholars to the first team. The facility features two separate wings for the First Team and Under 23 squads, and this linear form provides a maximum frontage to the pitches, establishing a clear relationship between the building and playing space.
Inspired by club legend Steven Gerrard’s famous ‘I bleed Liverpool red’ quote, the team colour is integrated subtly within a focused palette of natural and honest materials. The environmental graphics offer dual functionality with acoustic attenuation and essential solar shading, demonstrating a clear and robust identity instantly recognisable as Liverpool FC and providing a motivational environment for elite athletes to train both the body and the mind.
