Our Charity Contributions in 2024
8 January 2025
As the new year begins, we are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2025 is The Lighthouse Charity, which we will support for a second consecutive year.
In 2024, we made contributions to several charities, including Jog On, Save the Children UK, Movember and Wrap Up London.
Throughout 2024, KSS has also raised funds by hosting various events, including our annual cocktail night and Halloween bake sale, as well as a Grand National and Euros sweepstakes in aid of our chosen charity. The company has matched the funds raised.
The Lighthouse Charity is the only charity 100% dedicated to the emotional, physical, and financial well-being of the construction workforce and their families.

In September, we collected our staff’s trainers, running shoes, and football boots, regardless of their condition, for the Jog On initiative.
Jog On revitalises old trainers and running shoes to prevent them from ending up in landfill. The initiative sends these shoes to 15 locations worldwide, working with logistics and distribution partners. Even if the trainers are beyond repair, they will be disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Thanks to our team, we have made a meaningful contribution by giving our unwanted running shoes a chance to benefit someone else.

Alex Wells, Harry Williamson, Luke Richie & Sam Chen participated in Movember, raising valuable funds for this worthy cause, which the company matched.
Movember helps raise awareness for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Globally, 60 men are lost to suicide every hour and countless others are diagnosed with prostate and testicular cancers. By participating in Movember, we contribute to a movement that funds essential research and offers resources to help men achieve healthier and more fulfilling lives.

We donated our preloved warm coats and jackets to the Wrap Up London appeal in December.
Wrap Up London’s sole mission is to provide coats directly to people across the UK who struggle to keep warm during the winter months. These coats will find new homes with front-line charities that support causes such as homelessness, refugees, family centres, families in emergency accommodation, food banks, women’s refugees and young mothers’ groups.

We wore our Christmas Jumpers on Thursday, December 11, in aid of Save the Children UK. Our team embraced the festive spirit in their best Christmas attire, wearing their most vibrant, sparkling jumpers. The company donated £10 for every jumper worn.
Save the Children is a charity that helps children in need around the world by providing food, shelter, education, and access to medical treatment, including vaccinations, to keep children safe from disease and infection. It also supports families in the UK with essentials like cots and pushchairs and children’s reading.
