Leicester City FC Training Ground Officially Opens
19 April 2022This month we were honoured to be invited to the official opening of the Leicester City FC Training Ground that we completed in late 2020.
The private event was attended by Khun Top and the Srivaddhanaprabha family, alongside Chief Executive Susan Whelan, the First Team and manager Brendan Rodgers.
Commemorative plaques were unveiled outside the First Team and Academy entrances to the main Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Building before a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks was held in the central shared dining space overlooking the outdoor terraces and playing pitches beyond.
The 185-acre site includes 14 full-size pitches and targeted outdoor training areas that surround a signature full-size indoor pitch that moulds into the landscape, along with medical, tactical, rehabilitation, performance, and relaxation facilities for all players.
Described by Leicester City FC as a ‘legacy of the Club’s incredible recent successes and a beacon of ambition for the future’, we are proud that our world-class development was recently awarded Project of the Year.
