Success at the Stadium Business Awards

We are delighted to share that we celebrated a double win at the Stadium Business Awards 2021 last night at Emirates Old Trafford stadium in Manchester.
The first award went to our recently completed Leicester City FC Training Ground as ‘Project of the Year’. One of the most modern training facilities in the world, it is set within a 180-acre landscaped masterplan with 14 full-size pitches and a completely bespoke design to suit the specific functional requirements, culture, and ethos of the Club. KSS’s appointment continued from concept to completion and encompassed architecture, interior, and graphic design to ensure a cohesive and holistic design approach.
Then at the end of the evening, our Chairman David Keirle was presented with the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award. In his acceptance speech, David said, ‘KSS set out to create a practice that would do things differently, and we have many people that have worked with us for a long period. If I have any talent, it is picking good people and getting out of their way as they do all the hard work’, reiterating later that, ‘this award celebrates 30 years of outstanding KSS projects, and this honour is for the whole practice as it has been a real team effort.’ David also credited the design team required to deliver fantastic buildings, saying, ‘I thank you all for your friendship, support, creativity and genius.’
The awards ceremony followed a fantastic first day at the Stadium Business Summit conference where David had presented a showcase of our sports masterplan designs from throughout the decades. From the first of its kind stadium masterplan commission to our recent projects at Anfield and future exciting developments at King Power Stadium.
We wholeheartedly thank Stadium Business and the judges as this is a remarkable way to round up celebrating 30 years in 2021.
