Planning submission for Severalls Primary School

KSS have submitted plans to Essex County Council to build a new primary school next to Severalls Hospital in north Colchester, as part of wider residential re-development including the provision of community facilities and local retail facilities.

The school will cater for the increasing demand for school places amongst local residents with a total of 1,500 homes planned on the old hospital site. Skanska are planning to commence work on the two-storey school in March 2015 with the school is expected to open in September 2016 ahead of the new academic term.

Alongside Severalls primary school, KSS have also secured planning permission for the nearby development of Braiswick Academy primary school which is due to open in September 2015.
