KSS to participate in London to Paris Challenge
23 January 2015
Our very own Lee Nightingale, Kerry Thompson and Andrew McDonough will take on the London to Paris Cycle Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action this year. The 4-day event starting on the 20th May 2015 will cover over 300 miles through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.
The event is a continuation of our support to Ovarian Cancer Action, with KSS Director James Budd completing the Ventoux Cycle Challenge last year. The trio will be completing the London to Paris cycle ride in memory of former KSS employee Paula Standen who sadly passed away last year.
The cycle challenge will start with a casual 95 mile trip through Tonbridge, Kent and Dover where they will take the ferry to Calais. On day 2, the trio will head south through the stunning French countryside passing through small villages and towns before stopping in Arras, located in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. On the third day the cyclists will continue travelling south through more spectacular scenery stopping off at Compiegne, north of Paris in Picardy. Lee, Kerry and Andrew’s last day will pass through small villages and woodland before reaching the outskirts of Paris where the trio will cycle through the Parisian streets and the Arc de Triumph before finishing beneath the arches of the Eiffel Tower.
