KSS set to work on new schools in Kent
22 April 2015
KSS are proud to announce that we have recently submitted a planning application on behalf of Kier Construction, Kent County Council (KCC) and the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for Halfway Houses Primary School in The Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
KSS have been appointed to design this entire new build 3FE primary school which is located on the demolished Danley middle school site.
Halfway Houses Primary School is set to start on site in summer 2015, and will be completed in September 2016 before the start of the academic year.
KSS are working with Kier Construction on a further nine schools in northern Kent as part of the EFA’s Priority School Building Programme (PSBP) with KCC. The PSBP aims to develop modern education facilities for existing schools in key areas due to the growth of pupil numbers, quality of building stock and demand for extra school places in the UK.
With KSS’ thorough understanding of transformational education and contemporary teaching methods, KSS will provide sustainable learning environments that will create the perfect learning platform for the younger generation of Kent.
