KSS’ 2015 charity fundraising activities

This year, we have been involved in multiple fundraising activities for Ovarian Cancer Action, Breast Cancer Campaign and Plan UK.

Highlights include KSS Director Lee Nightingale, Technical Director Kerry Thompson and Andrew McDonough taking on the London to Paris Cycle Challenge in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action. The 4-day event in May covered over 300 miles through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. The challenge marked our continued support to Ovarian Cancer Action with KSS Director James Budd completing the Ventoux Cycle Challenge in 2014. In the lead up to the event KSS organised several raffles and a ‘Bake-Off’ with employees making delicious cakes, desserts and scrumptious treats.

In October, we took part in Breast Cancer Campaigns ‘Wear It Pink’ organising a variety of pink related office games and fancy dress competitions.

This month, KSS have donated to Plan UK, a global children’s charity who work in the world’s poorest countries to help build them a better future. Our donation will go towards two areas including the Girls Fund campaign and Forgotten Children. The Girls Fund aims to empower over four million girls to claim their rights, access to life-changing education, and be free from early and forced marriage. The Forgotten Children fund is an initiative to protect children from exploitation, abuse and neglect offering hope to the most isolated and vulnerable children.

The team at KSS would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and look forward to a great 2016.
