Amex comes out on top again

KSS and members of the design team and Club attended the recent ICE 2012 South Branch Engineering Excellence Awards and are delighted to announce that The American Express Community Stadium was named Overall Winner.

The Awards ceremony for the South East England branch was held at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton. Dominic Fox, one of the awards judges explained “We were particularly impressed by the roof design and construction, providing an elegant and sympathetic structural form, whilst achieving remarkably low self weight. Also impressive was the way in which the design and implementation of the whole system was in harmony with the surroundings.”

This latest recognition adds to the growing list of awards that the Amex is receiving, all within its first year of operation.
